All solar packages purchased from us must be installed by our approved third-party accredited solar installers (installer). 

All prices displayed are estimates only.

When you apply for a solar package, we will give you a non-binding preliminary solar quotation that will be based on the information you gave us. This preliminary solar quotation will be subject to a site inspection at your chosen installation premises on the date and time agreed between you and the installer. 

After the installer completes and approves the site inspection, we will send you our final quotation as well as the solar terms and conditions. When you accept these terms and conditions, they will be binding between you and us. 

Avo Solar Finance

At our sole discretion, we may make the Nedbank MFC finance option available to you so that you can buy the solar product. 

You can use our MFC instalment calculator to calculate what your approximate instalment may be. The total instalment includes the monthly instalment, plus a once-off initiation fee of R1 207.50 and a monthly admin fee of R69. The interest on all the packages is calculated at Prime + 3% over 72 months.

The displayed monthly repayments and interest rates are estimates only and areused to generate an example – it is not indicative of the actual rate and finance that you may qualify for, nor is it confirmation that you will be approved for financing. 

If you want to apply for finance for your solar purchase with us, you will go through an affordability assessment with MFC, a division of Nedbank. 

The amounts quoted will not be binding on MFC whatsoever. 

All standard MFC credit terms and conditions will apply.

Savings estimations based on your chosen solar solution package 

Before you buy a solar package from us, we will give you information about your estimated saving based on your chosen solar package. All monetary values for savings are indicative. Estimations are made for all battery capacities in line with the product specifications. Electricity cost is based on an average of cost per kWh for time of use metering as stipulated by local municipalities. 

Note the following:

• Our calculations are based on a price fluctuation of a 10% electricity increase per year.
• Seasonal increases are not considered.
• Savings assume optimised demand on solar-generated power and use of panels that will ensure that most of the electricity generated is used.
• A 10% degradation or losses incurred have been assumed due to variabilities in panel placement, cable length etc.
• Calculations are based on expected yield in Gauteng and could fluctuate depending on region.
• Savings do not factor in any benefits of pushing power back into the grid.
• Section 12B allowance has not been factored into the benefits.

We give the above information to you as a savings guide for your solar purchase from us. 

The given information is formulated at the time of issuing a proposal to you and is subject to change. 

You must ensure that you have verified and confirmed all information before you buy a solar package. 

Nedbank will not be liable for any loss or damage that you or any person may suffer because of any reliance on the above information.

Ownership and copyright 

The solar microsite content (including any material, information, data, software, icons, text, graphics, layout, images, sound clips, advertisements, video clips, trade names, logos, trademarks, designs, and service marks that are displayed on or incorporated in microsite) is protected by law, including copyright and trademark law.

The microsite content is our property or that of our advertisers or sponsors or is licensed to us. You will not have any right to the microsite or its content. You may not use, distribute, or reproduce the content unless we expressly authorised it or if it is otherwise provided for in law.

Indemnity 

We may terminate, suspend, or modify the Avo solar microsite without notice and at any time. If we terminate, suspend or modify the microsite, we will not be liable to you, except for processing any orders (to the extent that is possible) that you have placed before the suspension, termination or modification.

We will take all reasonable steps to accurately show the description, availability, price and fees of solar packages or services on our solar microsite. However, we will not be liable for any loss or expense relating to a transaction due to unintentional errors or omissions on the microsite that are not due to our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

We reserve the right to correct errors and omissions in the advertised prices of solar packages and services. You will be liable for the actual price of the solar package and services (if applicable).

We will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage that might result from your using our microsite; you’re relying solely on information or content of the microsite; your inability to use the microsite; or your unlawful activity on the microsite or installation.

You indemnify us against any loss, claim or damage that you or a 3rd party may suffer resulting from your use of the Avo solar microsite.
